    talented indeed, however, you tend to age your subjects too much. The original picture of Gloria Steinem is obviously a youthful image, your portrayel of her is more along the lines of a rundown crack-*****. With your talent, you could really bring out the beauty in people with a little less fine lines and more shade.

    I totally agree with your comment. My son complained about my aging his =
    picture as well by using fine lines instead of shading. I am trying to =
    get the hang of shading -- maybe do airbrushing? -- jl

    I find shading with my pinky or a tightly rolled news paper tip helpful. Creating an illusion of a line with out actually drawing a line makes portraits easier on the eyes. Try drawing a crumbled up a ball of paper or a scrunched up blanket for practice. Also, you have a great eye for detail, if you have a "needed" eraser, use it to lighten up/define over shaded areas. You can also draw great hair by blending all your lines together and then useing the needed eraser to pull out light and some smugged charcoal for darker definition. Good Luck

    Sorry, that eraser i was refering to i think is spelled "Kneaded" it is a tacky/puddy like material.
